everything in life becomes a brand new + exciting adventure when you have a child. like sleeping + time management. just kidding, those tend to go out the window. but really, what you’ve done a million times (i.e. going to the grocery store) becomes a new challenge. how do you get x amount of items in y amount of time before baby needs to be z (fed, put down for a nap, changed, etc). ready, set, go!

the answer: plan as much as you can, roll with the punches, and laugh. whatever you do, just go! even if you forget a spare outfit or run out of wipes, you’ll figure it out. life has new meaning + becomes so much more fun when you have a little one to show the world to.

on rare saturday mornings, the husband + I wake up as early as we can (6:30AM-ish) and we head downtown to the farmers market. (gotta beat the crowds!). we’ve been a 100 times. yet, it felt like a first as we pushed a stroller ..

we’re fairly inexperienced as parents (5 months in), so we either over-pack for outings or completely forget key items. we went out for dinner the other night + I remembered everything (plus some). what I didn’t remember was to hand my husband the extra onesie when he took jackson into the bathroom. a few minutes go by and out comes my husband, holding jackson, who was wearing pants + his zip-up fuzzy vest with nothing underneath. could he have peeked his head out + asked for the extra? absolutely! would it have been as good of a story? no.

roll with the punches, laugh + just enjoy this life!

for those of you thinking: “ugh, strollers are so inconvenient in crowds”. I used to be you! until I had a baby + discovered the genius of strollers – “you’ll hold my bag, baby + all of my purchases?” now, I know why people hate on strollers. not the amount of sidewalk they take up. they’re just jealous they have to carry their stuff. AMIRIGHT?
