21 weeks pregnant.

I’ve cleverly perfected my answer to the continually asked “so, how are you feeling?” question. it’s simple: I feel pregnant. each time I get dressed + look down, I remind my husband myself “I’m pregnant”. it’s been the most amazing, surreal + weirdest experience of my life. and we’re only 21 weeks in, so I can only imagine that statement will become even more true in the coming weeks. it’s hard to wrap your head around the fact that you’re growing a human. (NO BIG DEAL).

besides the occasional nausea (yes, still..), I’m feeling great! I have energy again + I can stay awake for full days. which really feels like a miracle after the reality of first trimester exhaustion. we’ve tackled our baby registry + are starting to wrap our heads around where all of this baby stuff will go. we ordered our first piece of furniture for the nursery, a rocking chair. we’ve also picked out the crib + dresser, we think. now we just wait for everything to arrive. then paint + start to assemble the room.

any must-have baby items you couldn’t have gone without?

You look fabulous! Baby items I really loved were the Rock and Play, SwaddleMes, and my Petunia Pickle Bottom backpack diaper bag.

You are too nice – thank you!! Everyone swears by the Rock & Play (I had to google what it was). I’ll add alllll of these to our list. Thank you!! ๐Ÿ™‚

You are so insanely cute!! That bump suits you! I forget, are you guys finding out what you’re having? In terms of must haves, yes to the rock and play (so typical but so amazing), a good rocking chair, and Aden & Anais swaddle blankets (but let people buy those for you as shower gifts, they’re the best!)

First time visiting your blog and I have to saw you are soooo cute! I am 39 weeks pregnant with my first (a little boy) and I miss the adorable bump that was 20-35 weeks! I cannot tell you what I absolutely have loved yet, but I can tell you that I have received at least 18 blankets from experienced mothers, so I assume I will need those ๐Ÿ™‚ ALSO one thing I have loved for myself is Bio-Oil – I grease myself up every AM and I have not gotten any stretch marks (which totally run in my family) so that’s exciting!
