my little brother surprised us + showed up in town last week, to celebrate jackson’s first birthday. it was so good to see him! but.. apparently vacations don’t last forever? because on monday night, I had to take him to the airport. he lives in colorado. I get to see him some, but not nearly enough. (or as much as I’d like to). the last time we saw him was over the holidays, when our little family made a trip out west. as I was driving home from the airport, I couldn’t help but start planning our next trip. wanderlust much?
when we were there in december, we made it our mission to visit as many breweries as possible. we went to five in seven days! if you count duplicates, we visited six. because we made two trips to breckenridge brewery’s littleton campus. it is just south of denver, so the location was convenient + easy to get to. a vast beer list. delicious food. and enough space to accomodate a larger group of people comfortably.

the farmhouse restaurant offers a menu that can please even the pickiest of eaters. I got the poblano black bean burger + fries on the first visit. on the second, I got the nice little farm salad. both were delicious! so much so, I ate them before any photographic proof could be made. the weather was unseasonably warm for december, but not “let’s drink beer + dine al fresco”. so, if nothing else, we need to make a return trip for that. they have a large outdoor space for drinking, dining + games! isn’t that a pretty red barn?
when you’re traveling, what is on your “must” list? the husband + I love visiting local breweries! they’re great places to drink, eat + learn from the locals.
