the husband + I lived in new york when we were fresh out of college. well, he moved there and I followed. (basically inviting myself). we’ve been living back in the midwest for nearly five years now, but a piece of our hearts are still there. we don’t go back + visit nearly enough. but last december, we went! I was 5 months pregnant + determined to see the city in all it’s holiday glory. we walked miles + miles and made a point to see everything we possibly could.
christmas in new york city.
go to the 9/11 memorial and stop for a drink at o’hara’s. eat shake shack cheese fries al fresco (even during wintertime). walk through chelsea market. admire the holiday light displays at every department store, while you head to the tree at rockefeller center. dine at the meatball shop + order one of their craft jello shots. trust me! eat waffles at bryant park while shopping the shops or ice skating.
if you have not been to new york, I suggest you do! if you have a warm coat + love the holidays, go in the month of december! it truly transforms into a magical place, with twinkly lights as far as the eye can see!
