green beer

when I was younger [pre-drinking age], I thought green beer was the coolest thing to happen to st. patrick’s day. it was magical. I wondered how they turned the beer green, and if it tasted different. maybe I was drunk while having these thoughts? because it seems incredibly obvious now. but regardless, it’s fun + without question festive.

you do not need to go to the nearest watering hole to get your green beer fill on st. patrick’s day. serve it at the party you’re hosting or attending. [may I also recommend irish pudding shots + reuben squares?].

let there be green beer.

just add a drop, or two of green food coloring to your favorite light beer. or in my case, bud light. if I’m hosting a large party, chances are I’m going to buy beer that comes in large quantities. but this will also work, on other light-colored beers. if you’re looking for an irish beer to serve + turn green, I’d go with Harp.
