I may be crazy, but this revelation that I’m about to share is life-changing amazing. and will, without a doubt, step up your entertaining game this season.
but first ..
eat allllll the candy you want, but sort it first.
now prepare for your mind to be blown.
[preface: [J] & I went to rock bottom brewery on sunday evening with a couple friends. I ordered their pumpkin ale, and the glass had a cinnamon + sugar rim. which sparked a light bulb in my head].
halloween may be today, but you can use this trick through thanksgiving. it will be the perfect addition to your cocktail party[s]. and will “wow” your guests.
all you need: pumpkin spice liqueur, pumpkin pie spice [from trader joe’s // or you may substitute for cinnamon], and sugar.
in a bowl combine 1 tbsp sugar + 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice.
in another bowl, pour just enough pumpkin spice liqueur to cover the bottom.
place beer glass upside down in liqueur.
shake off excess pumpkin spice liqueur.
roll rim of glass in pumpkin pie spice + sugar mixture.
now it’s time to add your favorite pumpkin beer.
[this one is great from trader joe’s].
just when you think a frosty glass of pumpkin beer can’t get any better, it does!
i had this for the first time on a work trip to boston in september. it made me so happy!
it’s amazing. I have never once in my life consider putting any kid of sugar rim on a beer glass, but pumpkin beer will never be the same again. it’s the “sugar on top” to something that is already delicious!!
That is a great idea! I will have to remember it 🙂
thank you!! I’d even put this pumpkin pie spice + sugar rim on a glass of apple cider. I’m using this idea through thanksgiving 🙂
