for the husband + I’s first anniversary, I asked the experts at crème cupcake to re-create the top tier of our wedding cake. while I was picking it up, I noticed this sweet little neighborhood bakery serves cocktails, and better has a HAPPY HOUR. what is happier than cocktails + scrumptious baked goods? clearly
nothing very little. I informed the husband it would be our next after-work adventure.
happy hour at a bakery.
they have a dessert lounge in the front of their bakery, for all to enjoy. they offer all-day happy hour on wednesday. so I grabbed the husband + off we went. we were quickly greeted and handed a genius pairings menu. it shows you what coffee, tea, cocktail, or wine would pair best with the dessert you choose. I ordered the savory cheesecake (mostly because I was starving, per usual) + a glass of chardonnay. the husband ordered pairing one, a white russian + tiramisu. they were out of his dessert, so he opted for peanut butter lava cake. (neither a bad choice in my mind). let’s just say we liked them so much, we ate them before I could snap a photograph. oops. I couldn’t leave without trying one of their signature cake-tails, a sea salt caramel martini. oh my gee, words can’t even describe. it was my kind of dessert.
