on day six of our #LLontheBIGroad trip, we left yellowstone national park and made our way to salt lake city, utah. where we spent the weekend with our friends, ashley + drew.
instead of dreading the long hours in the car between destinations, we always looked forward to them. some of the most amazing things we saw were not “penciled” into our itinerary, but places we stumbled upon.
one of those places: jackson hole, WY. we had to stop. no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
then we made the short trip to park city, UT. our dinner spot: no name saloon, to eat scrumptious buffalo burgers.
I truly felt as if we were being let in on a secret when we arrived at our next destination, the sundance resort. it is so quaint + tucked away. and a place I will never forget visiting. [the area is owned by robert redford and is where the sundance film festival got its start].
the next morning: breakfast at ruth’s diner and two pictures of downtown salt lake city before we headed off to colorado ..
and just in case
you’re new to the party, here’s a quick recap of our trip [orrr what I’ve shared on the blog so far]: day one we drove through the entire state of south dakota [and made a couple stops] before we reached our first destination, mount rushmore. minor detail: we got engaged on the first night of our trip. on day two we left south dakota for wyoming, where we set up camp at devils tower. and it hailed, a lot. on day three, we made it to montana just in time to cook dinner over a campfire & go to bed. on day four, we explored little bighorn battlefield before heading off to our next destination. then on day five + six, we were in complete awe of yellowstone national park.
there’s still eight more days of trip left. [in blog terms: 3 ish more posts].
