my husband + I really enjoy craft beer. (it’s love for him). wherever we go, we make it a point to stop by + visit the local breweries. some have tap rooms (we’re talking barstools + beer, that’s it). some offer tours + tastings. and occasionally, some serve food.
you go to breweries for the beer. the food is just a bonus. and it’s typically, “bar food”. always delicious + satisfying, especially with a good beer. but you have to be in the mood (or I do), say sporting event? exile brewery, on the other hand, tops the charts on beer, food, and ambiance. (they have amazing food). we take all out-of-town guests, grandma’s included. but more importantly, it’s our neighborhood date spot ..
how to do date night at the local brewery.
let’s start with the beers, they have three staples (hannah, ruthie, and gigi). they’re always delicious + available. but for the explorers, they’re constantly brewing new + seasonal beers. (I’m all for the oktoberfest right now). oh, the food. the menu has a bit of everything. like a variety of appetizers, salads, gourmet burgers, sandwiches, and entrees (salmon, roasted chicken, gnocchi, etc). basically whatever you’re in the mood for. we go for the buffalo chicken bites, which visit my dreams frequently. and I’m a sucker for the grilled chicken sandwich, topped with bacon + avocado. the husband isn’t a
menu creature of habit (like me) and has loved everything. tip: order the “exile“ (truffle) fries.
