(forewarning: this story starts out as my reason for not drinking soda, and ends with vodka).
when it comes to daily beverages, I consume a lot of coffee (no cream or sugar/mostly iced), even more water, and the occasional cup of tea. I don’t drink soda. it started out as something I “gave up” during my high school soccer seasons. and shortly after, just became an item I never incorporated back into my life. but to prove how extreme I was ..I had dance practices at 5:45AM each weekday throughout high school. and I would open + drink a can of diet pepsi at the beginning of every practice. couldn’t make it up if I tried.
even though that’s been nearly ten years now, I still find myself craving the carbonation + bubbles of a soda. which brings me to la croix sparkling water. it’s my obsession favorite! it satisfies any soda craving I thought I had. and is so good for me, or rather not bad for me. (no artificial sweeteners, sugars, or sodium). the flavors are subtle, yet delicious. and the cans are pretty, because that matters.
my favorite flavors are peach-pear, orange, and berry. even better, add your favorite vodka (titos) + a fresh lemon/lime wedge for the perfect (low-calorie) summer cocktail.
la croix & vodka.
clearly this is motivated by my need for summer evenings spent on our balcony, enjoying la croix + vodka. and my need to say farewell to gross vodka sodas enjoyed drank in college bars on 2 for 1 nights, when you have to beg for a lime wedge. we’ve all been there. my patio also comes with fun napkins, a great view, & pretty paper straws you can use for approximately 8 minutes before they become useless. (I supply the not-as-aesthetically pleasing, yet durable plastic straws too).
Mmmmm that sounds like a drink I need to try! Also, hilarious and so true about those cute little paper straws!
yes, stacy! it’s delicious + low calorie. can’t hate that! and I have a love/hate relationship with paper straws. they’re so darn cute, but just not functional (for longer than 8 minutes). thank you for visiting this morning! 🙂
Ok. So I bought some La Croix grapefruit and it’s awful. I was hoping it’d be delish but not so much. Super disappointed & stuck with it. Glad I tried it though. Should have tried your faves 1st!
So far I have tried Grapefruit, Lime, Lemon and Peach-Pear La Croix. Simply LOVE Peach-Pear, Lime and Lemon are ok and Grapefruit is just a bit too tart for me, but probably would be fun mixed with vodka or a nice wine.
What are the best flavors to mix w vodka
or rum? I just ordered Berry and Orange, excited for those to arrive!
my favorite flavors are peach-pear & orange! easily add vodka or rum for a scrumptious cocktail.
