the better + more intentional I am about ending my day well, the easier I wake to begin the next day. I make it a point to open my planner at the end of each day. I check off everything I completed + make notes. then I flip to the next day, and write the must-do items. I also look at the day’s schedule and pencil in time for essentials, like working out + watching pretty little liars (kind of kidding). all the while, drinking sleepytime tea. that’s part of my bedtime routine; a lit candle, pillow spray, and sleepytime tea. and I always, always have a notebook + pencil by my bedside. great ideas hit me at all of the wrong times (mid-sleep + in the shower).
give yourself extra time to reflect on the day + prepare for the next before you begin to count sheep. the more unwind time, the better I sleep + feel. so set your alarm, drink your tea, plot out your master plan for the next day, read a bit, and sleep well.
