nursery reveal | home sweet diehl.

the husband + I wanted a neutral, adventure-inspired nursery. even before we knew the gender of our little. we want him to grow up loving to explore + travel as much as we do. (maybe it’s our way of hoping he comes out LOVING car rides). and selfishly, we decorated this room for ourselves. we know we’ll be spending many of our nights in that rocking chair. so, we wanted to create a calm, relaxing space that we enjoyed. I love every corner of this sweet room. for not necessarily having a plan, just falling in love with different pieces + elements along the way .. we’re very happy with how it turned out!

our first purchase for the nursery was strangely the light fixture. we knew we wanted a statement piece. when we saw this one, we were quick to pull the trigger. next came the chair. my husband is tall. so, I told him “make sure it’s comfortable for you.. you’ll be spending a lot of time there”. (hahaha). after we found out we were having a little boy, we settled on the crib + dresser.

closet details: we went with two elfa mesh drawer stacks + a door rack from the container store. for the “counter top,” the husband purchased a piece of wood from the local lumber store, cut it to size + finished it.

decor: wall decals, framed prints (created by husband), clock, acrylic bookshelves, united states print, table lamp, (the side table was a VERY lucky homegoods find).

bedding: xo crib sheet, grey + white quilt, stripe blanket, sleepy lion pillow, tassel crib skirt
