Hi everyone! I’m Katelyn and I write Katalina Girl, a fashion and lifestyle blog based out of Des Moines, IA. I was so excited when Chelsea asked me to guest post for her while she’s road tripping around the US. So jealous! I love traveling. I also love shopping, so I instantly feel in love with
this Wildfox “Shopping is my Cardio” tee. My heart broke a little when I saw that it was over $100 though. I decided to do a little DIY and show you how to make the shirt under $20!
Step 1: Gather your materials. You’ll need a white t-shirt (I got mine from Old Navy for $10), iron on letters ($9 from Michaels), an iron, scissors, a towel and piece of an old t-shirt.
Step 2: Place a towel inside the shirt. Cut out the letters and lay them out of your t-shirt. Make sure they are straight!
Step 3: Place the piece of old t-shirt over the letters. Run the iron over the letters on high for 60 seconds. Turn the shirt inside out and run the iron over the letters for 30 seconds. Make sure to let the letters cool for a minute before trying to peel them off. If they aren’t peeling off repeat the heating process.
Step 4: Peel off the letters and voila! Such an easy DIY that saved me over $100.
