it is a rare summer night when our dinner isn’t grilled. we’re talking chicken, fish, vegetables, bratwursts, and steaks. even pizza. the sky is the limit. my husband is in charge of the grill + I’m responsible for the side dish. occasionally, we’ll mix up a cocktail. maybe have a bit of hummus + carrots while our food cooks. we chat about our day + wind down. it’s what I look forward to at the end of my work day ..

I know that seasoning steaks is a religion to many people. we were salt + pepper seasoners, until we met weber grill’s chicago steak seasoning. game changer. for the side, why not lighten the meal with a kale salad? so easy to make. I just tossed it together while our steaks were resting. all you need is kale (get rid of the stems), cheese, olive oil + lemon juice, a dash of pepper. maybe a few carrot shreds.
