lately, I have been much more intentional about taking quiet moments for myself.
it is so easy to get wrapped up in the go, go, go. your brain is going at 100mph; always thinking about what is the next task to be checked off the list. it is important to take time + escape. the escape looks different to many people. for me, my escape is with a pencil + a notebook. it is with a cup of coffee. it is reading a book, or listening to a podcast. it is searching my mind for the creative thoughts that often get pushed aside by real life tasks. and it is filling my mind with inspiration + knowledge.
[currently reading dream year, again + listening to all of the lively show].
you never know what you may gain from taking quiet moments for yourself. maybe it’s simply a chance for you to breathe + reflect. reduce stress. collect your thoughts. discover a passion. ignite inspiration. revel in the silence. build a business idea. or by chance, a little of each. don’t limit your possibilities.
I listened to a bit of talk yesterday on my lunch break by lisa congdon, author + artist. she quoted the poet mary oliver + what she said really resonated with me: “keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable”. you never really know what is around the next turn. do not limit yourself. chase your wildest dreams!
